Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement for Gaza. It was announced that the ceasefire would begin on January 19 and last for 42 days. The provisions of the Gaza-Israel ceasefire agreement are as follows:
Every day during the ceasefire, 600 humanitarian aid trucks, including 50 carrying fuel, will enter Gaza. Of these trucks, 300 will be sent to the northern part of the strip.
Israel will release all women and children under 19 held since October 2023.
Hamas will release 33 Israeli hostages in the first phase.
The first phase of the ceasefire will last for 42 days.
For every civilian hostage, Israel will release 30 Palestinian detainees; for each Israeli female soldier, 50 Palestinian prisoners will be freed.
In the first phase of the agreement, Israeli forces will gradually withdraw from Gaza.
Palestinians will be allowed to return to their homes.
On the 16th day of the ceasefire, new negotiations will begin for another agreement.
