Amy Poehler Replaces Andy Samberg in ‘Baking It’ Season Two

The second season of Baking It is set to launch on Peacock a year after the first instalment was completed. Baking It is a United States-based baking reality show hosted by Andy Samberg, who will be replaced by Amy Poehler in season two and Maya Rudolph. 

Baking It launched its first season in December 2021, managing a whopping 7.3 out of 10 stars on IMDb. The series was renewed for season two in October 2022, which is scheduled to premiere in December of the same year. 

Season two of Baking It will come with a holiday special, Baking It: Celebrity Holiday Special. 

Baking It follows eight pairs of super-talented bakers as they welcome the holiday in a baking competition. Season two will have contestants different from its predecessor. 

The competitors will get involved in themed baking sessions to generate the best, sweet-tasting cakes before the hosts. The baked goodies will then be presented before judges. Baking It best baker will be offered a grand cash prize of $50,000 for their hard work.

Baking It will launch alongside a holiday special, Baking It: Celebrity Holiday Special, which will see Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph welcome their famous friends into a baking competition with efforts to raise money for charity. 

Some celebrity faces hosted by the duo include J.B. Smoove, Nicole Richie, Kristen Bell, and Fred Armisen.

Yes. Peacock has revealed the official Baking It season two trailer, which promises plenty of tough challenges, mind-wrecking baking sessions, and a word from the grandmother judges.

Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler will host Baking It as a project of chief producers Poehler, Dave Becky, Kate Arend, Pip Wells, and Nicolle Yaron. 

Universal Television Alternative Studio, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Paper Kite Productions are behind the show’s success.

The second season of Baking It will premiere on Monday, December 12th 2022, with the first episode followed by weekly releases. 

Baking It: Celebrity Holiday Special will also launch on the above date, with Poehler and Rudolph as the co-hosts. Season one is still available for streaming on Peacock.
