Set to premiere on Amazon Prime on May 2nd, 'The Idea of You' features Hathaway as Solène, a woman caught in an unexpected love story.

Adapted from Robinne Lee's 2017 novel of the same name, the film follows Solène as she takes her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella after canceling vacation plans with her recently divorced ex-husband. At the festival, she finds herself falling in love with Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of the fiery band August Moon.

According to a report by Independent, the renowned actress recently gave an interview to V Magazine ahead of the release of 'The Idea of You' film.

Hathaway made noteworthy comments about the 'chemistry tests' conducted during the 2000s for her films.

Oscar-winning Anne Hathaway mentioned in the interview,

'In the 2000s, film crews would conduct chemistry tests for me to find the perfect co-star. I would have to kiss at least 10 men a day. It felt disgusting at the time, but I would pretend to be excited and continue kissing.'

... and added, "We've come a long way since then."

'Those years were very different. No one was trying to hurt or vilify me. Conducting chemistry tests and kissing 10 men seemed like a very correct tactic for everyone. Now, everyone knows that it's not as correct as it seemed back then.'
