We learned on October 31st that Muazzez Abacı, who suffered a heart attack in the US, had a stent implanted in her heart and her condition was reported to be good. However, subsequent checks by her doctors indicated that the contrast fluid used during the angiogram had caused problems in her kidneys.
The veteran artist's manager, Taner Budak, had stated, 'Her kidneys are not fully functioning, which has led to fluid accumulation in her lungs. This has resulted in breathing difficulties. Her treatment is ongoing in intensive care. During this time, all our prayers are for Muazzez Abacı.'
