In the e-mail sent to employees by Riot Games CEO Dylan Jadeja, it is explained that the situation is due to the failure to get the expected results from some of the investments made. In the e-mail stating that they will review their strategies and take different actions, it was also mentioned that the costs have reached a point that is not sustainable. In this process, 11% of the employees, more than 500 people, will be dismissed.

Legends of Runeterra's development team will be significantly downsized and the game's PvE mode will continue to be supported.
