Born on November 5, 1987, in Karşıyaka, Izmir, Çağlar Ertuğrul is a highly acclaimed Turkish actor known for his roles in film, television, and theater. Descended from a family of immigrants from Crete and Bulgaria, he grew up developing an interest in various forms of performing arts, despite having pursued a career in mechanical engineering.
Ertuğrul's educational journey began at Bornova Anadolu High School, from which he graduated in 2005. Following his high school graduation, he enrolled in Koç University's Mechanical Engineering department, where he first encountered the captivating world of theater.
Ertuğrul's acting career kicked off in earnest on April 13, 2009, when he made his stage debut in a play titled 'Romeolar ve Julietler' at Koç University. After graduation, he spent a year training at Vahide Gördüm's 35 Buçuk Academy, further honing his acting skills.
