Canadian 'The Kids In The Hall' is one Binge-able Film You Cannot Afford to Miss

Almost thirty years later, the Canadian sketch Comedy The Kids in the Hall has been revived on Amazon Prime Video with eight episodes produced by Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live. The new film follows its predecessor going by the same title, which initially ran from 1988 to 1995.

The trailer shows the return of the five initial characters, including Dave Foley,  Bruce McColluch, Scott Thompson, Kevin McDonald, and Mark McKinney. The troupe is set to deliver what it's best known for, hilarious skits.

It also introduces a few guest stars such as Pete Davidson of Saturday Night Live, Will Forte, Brandon A-Mohammed of Capricornation, Kenan Thompson of Kenan and Kel, and Catherine O'Hara of Home Alone

Additional members include Catherine Reitman, Paul S-H Lee, Samantha Bee, Jay Baruchel, Fred Armisen, Eddie Izzard, Collin Mochrie, Tracee E. Ross, and Mark Hamill.

'What an opportunity to wear our old wigs and even grab some new ones.' – The troupe mentioned in a joint statement. Garry Campbell and Collin Brunton are the producers, with Lorne Michaels as the chief producer.

The comedy brings sarcasm through a philosophical view of character-driven performances and creativity. It's a combination of art and comedy brought to life through a film.

As per Prime Video's announcement, The Kids in the Hall launches on Friday, May 13th, accompanied by a documentary series, The Kids in the Hall: Comedy Punks (Blue Ant Studios), arriving on May 20th through the same streaming platform.
