Cast Revealed for the New Series of Dexter: New Blood

The Emmy-winning Dexter series premiered in 2006 and ran for 8 seasons until 2013. The show brought to screens the story of Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst at the Miami Metro Police Department who secretly leads a life as a serial killer.

Starring Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, and Jennifer Carpenter, it became one of the most popular thriller, dark comedy, and crime dramas in recent years.

Now, a new adaptation of this beloved series is in the works. Produced by Paramount+ in collaboration with Showtime, the new series will explore Dexter's life 15 years before the original, with production already underway in Miami.

According to Independent, the new series will be set in 1991 and will depict Dexter's transformation from a student to a vengeful serial killer. The lead roles will be played by Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, and Molly Brown.

Variety reports that in the 10-episode series titled 'Dexter: Original Sin,' James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, and Reno Wilson will join the main cast of characters.
