If you know about Christian Bale, then it's likely you know him from starring in either American Psycho or Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy. It was Mary Harron's American Psycho which led Bale to global stardom. The way Bale brought to life Patrick Bateman, the eccentric investment banker, and serial killer, gained him unmeasurable acclaim.
But that's not where he truly became a legend. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, where Bale was cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman, marks the greatest milestone so far in Christian's career. Though he'd been out of the heroic scene for quite a while, Bale returned in 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder as the villain Gorr. And much like his previous roles, he went to extreme lengths to perfectly embody his character.
American Hustle (2013), The Big Short (2015), Vice (2018), and Ford v Ferrari (2019), are just some of the latest feature films he's been in. Overall, he's had a very decorated career so far, and with him showing no signs of stopping any time soon, you'll be seeing a lot more from Christian Bale in the coming years.
