The announcement that the second season of the South Korean series, hailed for its compelling storyline, would take the form of a reality show generated excitement among eager fans.

After months of anticipation, last week saw the release of 'Squid Game: The Challenge,' where 456 contestants battled for a cash prize of 4.56 million dollars.

One of the participants in 'Squid Game: The Challenge,' inspired by South Korea's record-breaking series, shared some insights about the program.

24-year-old Dani Templet recounted her experience on 'Squid Game: The Challenge' to journalist Ayomikun Adekaiyero.

The Florida native revealed that upon first hearing about the show, she thought, 'Who wouldn't want 4.56 million dollars?'

Dani Templet expressed being a devoted fan of the series, stating that she saw 'Squid Game: The Challenge' as an opportunity to gain life experiences, travel, and meet new people.

Recounting the six months of silence after applying for the competition, the contestant mentioned that the energy she witnessed on set for the first game was unlike anything else.

Describing the "otherworldly" nature of the Red Light, Green Light game, Templet noted that the game lasted 6-7 hours.

Participants were made to wear large vests under their tracksuits and shirts, containing numerous tubes and ink. When a player was eliminated, the vest would burst, emitting a whistle sound. Templet found it to be extremely frightening, recalling the shivers that ran through her body when she first heard about it.

Describing their dining experiences in the dormitory, Templet shared, "Meal times were challenging. The taste of one of the meals they gave us was like cold pasta with ketchup smeared all over it."

The contestant added, 'There was a bathroom attached to the main room, but that meant sharing 10 toilets with over 200 people. You do the math. It was like queuing up to shower or brush your teeth as if you were at a festival. We had no access to windows or anything indicating the time of day. We only knew it was bedtime when we were warned that the lights would be turned off.'

Recounting the second game on the evening of the third day, the contestant admitted to accepting defeat before it even began:

'In this game, we had to cut a shape from a cookie using our tongues and a needle. I was given a star shape, and frankly, I had already accepted the idea of losing when entering the game. I was tired, craving a hamburger and cola.'

"I was never told who won the money, so I need to watch the program to find out. In the end, I may not have won the competition, but I gained the life experience I was looking for."
