The beloved 1990 classic film 'Ghost' is getting a remake, and its original star, Demi Moore, has shared her thoughts on the project. Details inside!

Starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg, and directed by Jerry Zucker, the film "Ghost" captured hearts worldwide upon its release and became the highest-grossing film of 1990.

The romantic, fantasy, and drama film "Ghost" follows the story of banker Sam, who is tragically killed during a robbery attempt and his efforts to reunite with his girlfriend Molly from the afterlife.

The film received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Music, Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Screenplay.

Whoopi Goldberg and screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin both won Oscars for their work.

Now, the iconic film is set for a remake.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, actor and producer Channing Tatum revealed that his production company, Free Association, holds the rights to 'Ghost' and plans to make some changes to the original story.

Critics suggest that it will be challenging for Channing Tatum to fill the shoes of Patrick Swayze, who passed away in 2009.

Remaking such a beloved classic while honoring its legacy is no easy task.

Demi Moore, who played Molly in the original film, expressed her displeasure with the remake. In an interview, she told The Independent,

 'Every story can be told in cinema, but some films should be left untouched. A remake might bring delightful surprises, but sometimes it's best to let it be.'
