The thriller drama film 'John Q.' was directed by Nick Cassavetes and released in 2002. The film depicts John Quincy Archibald (Denzel Washington), a father and husband whose son is diagnosed with an enlarged heart and finds that his HMO insurance would not fund a transplant, before deciding to blockade the hospital and force them to do so.
'John Q.' is scheduled to release on the streaming giant Netflix on May 1st 2022.

Michael Archibald, the son of John Quincy Archibald, collapses while playing baseball due to heart problems. Michael is rushed to the hospital emergency room, where John is told that his only hope is a transplant. Unfortunately, John's insurance will not cover the transplant for his son. John Q. is at a loss for what to do. enslaves emergency room workers and patients until hospital doctors agree to perform the transplant.
The film stars Denzel Washington as John Quincy Archibald or John Q. Supporting him in the film are Robert Duvall, Kimberly Elise, Anne Heche, James Woods, and Ray Liotta.
