What is Salt Galata?

Salt Galata is one of the two centres in Istanbul of SALT, a culture and arts institution founded in 2011. The other is located in Beyoğlu. Salt Galata aims to support the production of art and culture, to provide extensive resources for researchers and visitors, and to encourage the exchange of knowledge through public events.

The building includes exhibition spaces, a comprehensive research library, the Ottoman Bank Museum, seminar halls, a bookshop, a café and a gourmet restaurant. The History of Salt Galata: From Ottoman to Modernity

What is the Entrance Fee to Salt Galata?

Entrance to Salt Galata is completely free of charge. There is no charge for visitors to visit the museum, library, exhibitions and public spaces.
