Set against the backdrop of 1960s Korea, a period marked by significant social and political upheaval, 'Uncle Samsik' narrates the tale of a young idealist determined to transform the fortunes of his country. Caught in the complexities of the era, he attracts the attention of a mysterious fixer, adept at navigating any situation and taking unconventional steps to achieve his boss's objectives.
Song Kang-ho will step into the shoes of the fixer, Pak Doochill, also known as Uncle Samsik, while Byun Yohan (known for 'Mr. Sunshine' and 'Six Flying Dragons') portrays the idealistic Kim San.
The series holds significance not only as Song Kang-ho's inaugural appearance in a drama series but also as Shin Yeon-shick's debut in television projects. The duo has previously collaborated on Shin's projects, such as the volleyball drama 'One Win' and the black comedy 'Cobweb,' both released in 2023.
