Disney Plus' ‘I Am Groot’ Season One: Plot, Cast, Release Date, Trailer & More

I Am Groot is coming your way soon, and Marvel fans are super excited for this Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off show, as everyone's beloved tree gets into mischief.

The new series is a sequence of all shorts themed around the star character, with Vin Diesel resuming his voicing role. The episodes were penned by Ryan Little of What if, with Kirsten Lepore as the co-writer and director.

I Am Groot is part of MCU Phase Four, which presents other Disney Plus projects such as WandaVision, Ms Marvel, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The series is the shortest MCU accomplishment running for only twenty minutes but delivering content that fans can't help but enjoy. Five extra shorts of I Am Groot are under development.

The series arrives on Wednesday, August 10th, exclusively on Disney Plus, making it a perfect mid-week treat for the viewers. The streamer has also released an official trailer on its main YouTube Channel for more storylines.

Disney+ has also taken it to its main Twitter page to share the launch news accompanied by a poster regarding the animated series. This ensures its Twitter-lover fans don't miss out on the news.

The relevant tweet has been deleted or hidden by its owner.

I Am Groot is a compilation of original shorts with Baby Groot in the leading role and will present a few new and uncommon characters. The series follows Baby Groot's good days, growing up and getting mischievous among the stars.

From the series' poster revealed by HBO Max, we see Groot relaxed and listening to music, leaning on a Walkman, with a soaking lamp light that is a substitution for the sunlight he needs and a drink by his side. The poster seems to concentrate on music which is a running focus in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy shows.

We last saw Groot in his adolescence in Avengers: Endgame, but the new spin-off seems to return to its genesis, presenting Baby Groot's adventures we all adore.

Besides Vin Diesel who voices Groot, the other voice cast includes Bradley Cooper voicing Rockett Raccoon, Groot's presumed sidekick. After their appearance in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, the duo became an impressive pair, so Marvel fans will surely be thrilled to see them back.

The streaming platform is yet to unveil the other new and uncommon characters, as stated in the synopsis.
