Synopsis

Based on the novel 'Girl behind the Glass' by Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, the Turkish series 'My Home My Destiny' tells a poignant story inspired by true events. At the heart of the narrative is Zeynep, a beautiful young girl who grows up in a wealthy family despite her humble origins. When Zeynep was just seven years old, her father made the difficult decision to place her in the care of a wealthy family in exchange for financial support. Her biological mother, Sakine, reluctantly agreed, hoping it would offer Zeynep a better life and access to education.

Zeynep's life takes a unique turn as she is raised by her foster parents, Nermin and Ekrem, who belong to high society. While she enjoys the privileges that come with her upbringing, Zeynep grapples with the burden of her hidden past. Her biological parents, Sakine and Bayram, are alive but work as a cleaning lady and a construction worker, respectively, struggling with their own challenges.

Despite her fortunate circumstances, Zeynep feels guilty for keeping her true family background a secret, even from her boyfriend, Faruk, who comes from a wealthy family. As Zeynep's relationship with Faruk progresses, she wrestles with whether to reveal her special situation. The complexities of her identity intensify when Sakine unexpectedly attends Zeynep's birthday party and encounters Faruk. Zeynep's inability to introduce her biological mother properly leads to misunderstandings, pushing Sakine further away from her daughter.

As Zeynep's wedding plans to Faruk unfold, Sakine becomes increasingly determined to protect her daughter from a life of privilege that may alienate her from her true roots. The story takes an unexpected twist when Sakine arranges a blind date for Zeynep with Mehdi, an attractive neighbor seeking a life partner. Despite their different backgrounds, Zeynep and Mehdi feel an undeniable connection.

'My Home My Destiny' delves into the complexity of Zeynep's life as she navigates between her foster and biological families, love interests, and the ultimate choice she must make. Will Zeynep find the courage to embrace her true background? Will she choose the path set by societal expectations or follow her heart? This captivating series explores themes of identity, love, and the life-altering decisions that shape one's destiny.
