Don’t Miss Out on the Series Premiere of ‘American Song Contest’ on NBC

We have exciting news! The American version of The Eurovision Song Contest premiered last night on NBC, and its name is The American Song Contest.

Hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg, The American Song Contest will bring a live music competition where representatives from every state in the U.S. sing in an attempt to win the title of Best Original Song. 

Incorporating a wide range of musical styles and genres across America, each contestant is required to perform a new track specifically crafted for the show. 

The competitors will be sifted through three qualifying rounds where the strongest vocals will make it to the semi-finals. Eventually, the Grand Final will see one state champion.

The show premiered on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Its eight-week run will see a new episode airing at the same time slot every Monday. The last Grand Final episode is scheduled for a May 9 release.

Week 1 of the show presents Kelsey Lamb-Arkansas performing ‘Never Like This’, Michael Bolton-Connecticut singing ‘Beautiful World’, UG Skywalkin- Indiana singing ‘Love in My City’, Alisabeth von Presley- Iowa singing ‘Wonderful’, Yam Haus- Minnesota singing ‘Ready to Go’, Keyone Starr-Mississippi singing ‘Fire’, AleXa- Oklahoma singing ‘Wonderland’, Christian Pagán-Puerto Rico singing ‘Loko’, Hueston- Rhode Island singing ‘Held On Too Long’, Jake ‘O- Wisconsin singing ‘Feel Your Love’ and Ryan Charles- Wyoming singing ‘New Boot Goofin’.
