Fikret Kızılok's musical journey began during his schooling at Galatasaray High School's elementary section in Istanbul. It was here that he was introduced to music, receiving his first instrument, a red accordion, as a birthday gift. He took his initial music lessons from a classmate's father, who was a clarinet player. Fikret's first concert took place during a school performance at Taksim Municipality Gazinosu on April 23rd, where he and his classmates formed a small music group called 'Fikret Kızılok and the Orchestra,' delighting the audience with their performances of traditional folk songs. During this period, their biggest hit was their rendition of the folk song 'Tamzara.'
As he grew older, Fikret Kızılok's musical interests evolved, and he traded his accordion for a guitar, inspired by artists like Elvis Presley. During his high school years, he found support and encouragement from fellow musicians Barış Manço and Timur Selçuk, who were in higher grades.
