On February 28, Prime Video announced the official release date of the Hindu drama thriller film Jalsa. Suresh Triveni directed the film, and it is produced by Vikram Malhotra and Shikhar Sharma from Abundantia Entertainment, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar from T-series and Suresh Triveni.
Kumar, the chairman and MD of T-series, claimed, 'Jalsa is one of the most captivating films we've produced at T-series, and I am thrilled to be a part of it together with our partners Abundatia Entertainment. Our collaboration has been very successful with the movies 'Chhorii’, ‘Airlift’ and ‘Sherni’ and I look forward to applying the same with ‘Jalsa’”.
The founder and CEO of Abudantia Entertainment, Vikram Malhotra, added, 'Our main aim is to narrate stories that are authentic, genre building and stretch beyond the usual traditional cinema.” He described Jalsa as a story of complex human emotional triggers that touches the lives of many.
Jalsa showcases a wide cast ensemble including Iqbal Khan, Surya Kasibhatla, Manav Kaul, Vidya Balan, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Suresh Triveni, Shefali Shah and Yidhatri Bandi.
The movie will premiere on Friday, March 18, in India and 240 other countries around the world.
