Ford, one of the most widely used car brands in Turkey, has made the decision to recall over 1.4 million vehicles in the United States. The automotive regulator in the U.S. announced today that the vehicles are being recalled due to an issue with the rear-view camera that could potentially cause a faulty, intermittent, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
The automotive regulator in the US announced in a statement that 1,448,655 vehicles have been recalled due to a rearview camera issue that could result in distorted, intermittent, or blank images when in reverse.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the recalled models as the Explorer, Escape, Mustang, certain Lincoln, Flex, and Fiesta.
The NHTSA has stated that Ford dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear-view camera, at no cost to the vehicle owners.
