Soon after he graduated from college, he took over his father’s liquor business, Shopper’s Discount Liquors. He rebranded the store and relaunched it as Wine Library and had its own online store. Because of his involvement in the wine and liquor industry at such an early age, it was no surprise that Vaynerchuk already had what it takes to educate people on wine. In 2006, he launched a daily webcast about wine on YouTube and named the show as Wine Library TV. Due to his efforts, the business immediately jumped from $3 million to a $60 million value! But after spending a few years building the wine business, he decided to pursue a different path in 2009 and created his own digital ad agency, VaynerMedia.
Gary Vaynerchuk and AJ Vaynerchuk, his brother, established VaynerMedia. The company focuses on social media advertising for Fortune 500 companies. Vaynerchuk also established VaynerX, a communications company that handles media properties and technology companies.
He just proves that age doesn’t matter if a person really is interested to learn new things. Despite being older than the tech-savvy gen Zs, Vaynerchuk also has an interest in non-fungible tokens or NFTs. He is the creator of VeeFriends and was recently included in the Fortune list of the Top 50 influential people in the NFT industry.
