A recent agreement between Turkey and the UK has led to the signing of a contract for the sale of 20 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets. Sources from the Ministry of National Defence announced that the total cost of the Eurofighter aircraft that Turkey will purchase is projected to be 5.4 billion pounds (299 billion 322 million lira).
During the Ministry of National Defense's weekly briefing, a statement was made regarding the cost of fighter jets.
'A contract was signed with the United Kingdom on October 27, 2025, for the procurement of the new production Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, equipment, and various ammunition to meet the operational needs of our Air Force Command.
The project cost for the procurement of 20 new production Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, mission equipment for the aircraft, and various types and amounts of ammunition included in the procurement content is approximately 5.4 billion British Pounds.
In addition, efforts are ongoing for the procurement of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from Qatar and Oman to meet the operational needs of our Air Force Command.'
