Netflix Nigeria dropped an official trailer of the remake of the film Glamour Girls on June 3 2022, with the caption, “Fast money, fast cars and fast lives. Will they crash or keep going?”
Glamour Girls is a reboot of the 1994 version of the same title, with a lot posher to suit the modern audience, while partially sticking to the original plot. Glamour Girls follows a group of ladies struggling to lead a fancy lifestyle by gold-digging on men.
Emma, Helion, Jenna and Louise strive to live large in the city of Lagos under the guidance of Donna, a madame of the gold-digging business. They discover that their glitz lifestyle comes with a huge price.
The film depicts how these ladies try to hold it all together while lying to men and robbing them of their valuables.
Your main cast for the movie includes Nse Ikpe-Etim as Donna, Sharon Ooja as Emma, Segilola Ogidan as Helion, Joselyn Dumas as Jenna, Toke Makinwa as Louise, Taymesan Emmanuel as Tommy and Lilian Afegbai as Majesty.
The 1994 original film performed exceptionally, garnering an 8/10 score on IMDb and an audience likeability of 95%.
Starring Nollywood legends such as Jennifer Okere, Eucharia-Anunobi Ekwu, Liz Benson, Gloria Young, Ngozi Ezeonu and Barbara Udoh, the original revolves around ambitious ladies Sandra, Doris, Jane and Helen who strive to forge their paths as independent women in Nigeria.
