Another Netflix romantic comedy series that is taking this generation by storm is Emily in Paris.

It follows the exciting exploits of Emily Cooper, a 20-something year-old Chicago native who moves to France to join marketing luxury firm, Savoir.

From her career, love interest, and trying to awkwardly fit in the fashion capital of the world, Emily in Paris is a whirlwind of both romance and comedy, everything generation Y looks for for a feel-food series. 

Generation Y is obsessed with everything Emily in Paris, so to help you through this, here’s a rundown on the basic facts and figures about the cast of Emily in Paris.

Lily Collins as Emily Cooper

Lily Collins is no stranger to the limelight. She is after all the daughter of musician Phil Collins from Genesis fame. Her American accent is the result of being raised in the United States (even starring in the hit series Growing Pains when she was only 2 years old) but it is worth noting  that she was actually born in Surrey, United Kingdom. Lily is 32 years old but makes for a very believable 20-something Emily Cooper, thanks to a winning combo of having a baby face, awesome genes, and a healthy lifestyle.

Lily is still basking in newly-wed bliss, having just married fellow-actor Charlie McDowell in 2021.

Lucas Bravo – Gabriel

Is he the love of Emily’s life or not? We probably won’t get the answer until a couple of seasons down, but one thing is certain: the on screen chemistry between Emily and Gabriel is undeniable.

While the show doesn’t reveal how old Gabriel is, he should be around the same age as Lucas Bravo which is 33. 

 This model-actor has also recently come out and while he truly enjoys acting, he doesn’t relish his new found fame.

While his filmography may still be growing, he is definitely on his way to stardom, having been cast as part of the film “Ticket to Paradise” with Hollywood A-listers like George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Ashley Park – Mindy

Asian-American actress and California born native, Ashley Park plays the disgraced heir apparent and singer, Mindy. As one of Emily’s closest friends, her character is given a concurrent narrative to Emily as she reluctantly resurrects her singing career.

Half a decade older than the character she plays, the actress plays a convincing 25 year old and garnered a Critic’s Choice Award nomination.

In case you are wondering, Ashley Park can indeed sing in real life. In fact her broadway performances outnumber her films and TV appearances by far. Just some of her Broadway awards are receiving the Drama Desk Award and several Tony Award nominations for playing the role Gretchen Wieners in the musical Mean Girls.

Camille Razat – Camille

Next character on our list is champagne heiress Camille, who incidentally is also played by the actress Camille Razat. She’s the youngest in the main cast, with an age exactly the same as her character at 27 years.

This true French native is just starting out in her acting career with the majority of her portfolio covering TV and film roles.

Emily has a complicated relationship with Camille- they are cordial friends, but have more in common than they would like, which is love (and lust) for Gabriel.

Lucien Laviscount – Alfie

Next is Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, a new character introduced in the latest season of the show. Already a well-seasoned actor,  he began his career in 2002 and has had numerous TV shows under his belt since. Lucien plays a charming English banker and love interest for Emily. His first big break came when he was 10 years old modeling for Marks & Spencers. A role in Snatch gained him a nomination from the National Film Awards in the UK.

Don’t let his accent fool you- it's just really good acting. He isn’t a Londoner but was born and raised in Burnley, just outside the United Kingdom.

The second youngest in the cast also plays a character in Emily in Paris which is close to his actual age of 29.

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu – Sylvie

Emily’s lady boss in the show has a French film pedigree. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie is the daughter of actor Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu who is recognized worldwide as one of the best actors of his generation, even receiving a BAFTA nomination.

Philippine is 58 years old, approximately 10 years older than her Sylvie role.

Still, Philippine pulls it off rather convincingly, even as a steamy love interest.

William Abadie – Antoine

Sylvie’s love interest in the show is Antoine played by actor William Abadie who is also of French descent. 

William is 45 years old, making his affair with Sylvie in the show sort of a May-December affair, if you consider their real ages.

He’s arguable one of the more recognizable actors in the series, as he’s been in numerous successful TV franchises such as Sex and The City, Ugly Betty, and even Gosspi Girl.
