In 2014, Kylie Jenner and her mother, Kris Jenner, founded Kylie Lip Kits (later known as Kylie Cosmetics) and partnered with a retail and product development company, Seed Beauty. Seed Beauty produced the first 15,000 lip kits that the Jenners funded at $250,000 from her modeling earnings.
The company was later renamed Kylie Cosmetics, and the production rose to 500,000 kits. By the end of 2016, the company's total revenue was over $300 million.
Kylie described her decision to use her former insecurity about her lip size as an inspiration for her successful brand and company, stating that it's one of the most authentic things she has done in her career.
Kylie Jenner has collaborated with several other celebrities on collections for Kylie Cosmetics. Some notable collaborations include her sisters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian. Most recently, Jenner collaborated with her mom, Kris Jenner.
In November 2016, Kylie announced the first Kylie Cosmetics collaboration called Koko X Kylie, where she teamed up with her beloved sister, Khloe Kardashian.
