American Siege, starring Bruce Willis and Timothy V Murphy going head-to-head as the hero-villain protagonists, premieres today on Hulu. This is good news for action thriller fans, and it couldn't have come on a better day than Friday.
The movie presents a former NYPD officer turned sheriff of a small rural town in Georgia who has to take down a gang of robbers that have taken a wealthy doctor captive.
American Siege is set a decade after the sudden disappearance of a teenage girl Brigit Baker. Brigit's boyfriend Roy, who has been in prison for ten years since her disappearance, wants to uncover the truth. Armed to the teeth and full of fury, Roy raids the home of a local doctor, accompanied by Brigit's sister Grace and Toby, her cousin. The trio believes that the pharmacist was involved with Brigit's disappearance.
Sheriff Ben Watts enters the scene to stop the gang. He is a lazy drunk, a corrupt officer, who's on the payroll of a successful local businessman Charles Rutledge. Rutledge is presumably connected with the sole mystery as well.
Bruce Willis plays Sheriff Ben Watts, Rob Gaugh plays Roy, Cullen G. Chambers plays pharmacist John Keats, Timothy V. Murphy plays Charles Rutledge, Johann Urb plays Toby Baker, and Anna Hindman plays Grace Baker.
Other cast members taking up supporting roles include Eric Buarque, Joshua Cavender Cole, Stephen Dixon, Steven C Hamilton, Billy Jack Harlow, Janet Jones, Robert Laenen, Phillip Joe Luke, Blake Marshall, Johnny Messner and Joe Munroe.
American Siege is written and directed by Edward Drake. It was first released on January 7 2022, by Vertical Entertainment.
