Instagram Introduces ‘Super Like’ Feature for Stories

Instagram is taking its Stories feature to the next level with a new ‘Super Like’ option. Following in the footsteps of YouTube and Tinder, Instagram now allows users to give a ‘Super Like’ to just one story per day. Discover how this new feature works and what it means for your Instagram experience.

A recent discovery in Instagram’s app code reveals that the popular social media platform is working on a "Super Like" option for Stories.

According to information leaked by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi on X, Instagram is developing a 'Super Like' feature.

Similar to YouTube's live stream comments and Tinder's 'Super Like' for potential matches, Instagram is beginning work on this feature.

Since introducing Stories in 2016, Instagram has continued to enhance this beloved feature. Development is underway for the 'Super Like' option in Stories, which has high engagement and direct messaging activity.

According to initial information on the development, users will be able to use the Super Like feature only once per day.

You will only be able to apply a Super Like to one of the Stories available for 24 hours. The Super Like right will renew every 24 hours.

Will Instagram charge users for 'Super Likes' as YouTube and Tinder do with their "super" features?

Instagram has not yet made any announcements about this feature or when it will be available to users. It is possible that Instagram may review the feature and shelve it, or it might do more with it. This could also just be an early prototype.
