'I came for the match, but I couldn't make it, I just sat in the room crying. A few ruffians approached us in a nasty way as we were returning to the hotel. We stood up for ourselves, and just when we thought 'the issue was resolved,' the police started tailing us. They kept coming at Melih, and I ended up playing the peacemaker. Thank God I'm universally adorable. Anyway, they told us, 'Go to your room, don't go out tonight.' I was like Ali Rıza Bey in his paralysis scene. I'm still upset and very sad. It was so unnecessary. Melih later went down and spoke to the police, explained the real situation, but to no avail...'
