In a recent escalation of conflict, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hodeidah Port on Yemen’s Red Sea coast, which is under the control of Iran-backed Houthi forces. The Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV channel reported that "a series of bombings targeted the city of Hudaydah."

The report noted that there were casualties and injuries in the attacks on the oil tanks at the Hudaydah port, but no specific numbers were provided. The report also mentioned that many people sustained burns as a result of the attacks.

Houthi spokesperson Mohammed Abdulsalam stated on X that Israel's brutal attacks targeting civilian facilities, including oil tanks and a power plant at Hudaydah port, were intended to force Yemen to stop its support for Gaza.

Abdulsalam said, "Stopping support for Gaza is an unattainable goal. This attack will only increase the determination and resolve of the Yemeni people and armed forces."

A powerful explosion occurred at 3:00 AM local time on Friday near the US Embassy in the center of Tel Aviv due to a drone attack.

In the explosion, one person was killed and four others were injured by shrapnel and the blast's effects.

The Houthis had announced that they targeted Tel Aviv with a new drone named "Yafa," which they claimed could not be detected by radar or intercepted by air defense systems.

The Houthis declared that they would continue targeting Israel’s center and that Tel Aviv was considered an "unsafe zone" for them.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that they would 'respond appropriately' to the drone attack.

The Yemeni Armed Forces issued a statement requesting residents of Tel Aviv to leave the city.
