Janelle Monáe Reveals Her Unique Method for Choosing Film Roles

Grammy-nominated singer Janelle Monáe is a well-known figure not only for her music career but also for her roles in television and film.
Monáe has starred in several successful films, including "Hidden Figures," "The Glorias," and most recently, "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery."
The 38-year-old singer recently answered fan-submitted questions in an interview with The Guardian. One of her responses made headlines.
According to The Independent, a reader asked Monáe, "What draws you to a particular role and film?"
Monáe replied, 'To know if a role is right for me, I need to feel it not just in my bones but in my pubic hair. My hairs need to tingle. And of course, snacks.''
Monáe also made significant comments about the upcoming third installment of "Knives Out."
She said, 'When I received the script for 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,' my armpit hair definitely stood on end. Going to Greece and working with director Rian Johnson was exciting. The entire cast was legendary, and I loved acting alongside Daniel Craig. I’m thrilled about Knives Out 3. I would love to be in it. I wish I could undergo cosmetic surgery and return as a brand-new character.'
