Jay-Z is reported to have met Amazon founder and owner Jeff Bezos this week to discuss a joint purchase of the Washington Commanders American football franchise.
The rapper was spotted having dinner with the multi-billionaire in a Los Angeles restaurant called 'Horses' on Monday evening, the 7th November.
The high-end dinery is reported to have opened especially for an exclusive dinner between the wealthy pair, as it is usually closed for business on a Monday.
Last week it was reported both Jay-Z and Jeff Bezos were interested in purchasing the NFL team after its owner Dan Snyder indicated he may sell it after 20 years owning the side.
The news of the potential sale of the Commanders came as a surprise to NFL fans when the team released a statement detailing that the franchise has undergone a valuation by the Bank of America Securities.
The Snyder family hired the bank to help the sale of the team, which could be sold for a big a price as $7 billion.
“Dan and Tanya Snyder and the Washington Commanders announced today that they have hired BofA Securities to consider potential transactions,” the short press release said.
“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL,” the statement added.
