Jenna Ortega made a brief portrayal in season two of 'You' with Penn Badgley before going on to become one of the most well-known actresses this year on Netflix. The Jenna Ortega persona, who crossed the psychopath's path less frequently than other ladies, had made it out alive!

Keep in mind that 'Ellie' was the title character of the recently approved second season of Wednesday. Delilah's younger sister, who had the tragedy to cross Joe's path as he was just settling in Los Angeles. Thus, over the course of a few episodes, Joe and Ellie, with whom he had forged a brotherly connection, grew pretty close.

Jenna Ortega's Dreadful Retaliation in You season 4

When Henderson drugged her, our hero had already saved her life. Delilah did not survive since Love handled her case, but Ellie was able to escape even though she was utterly abandoned and left to herself.

The writers never again addressed Ellie's fate after Joe began a family with Love in the third season. However, Joe is being pursued by an enigmatic figure who appears to know something about his background in the You season 4 teaser.

What if Ellie made the decision to get revenge on her sister's killer? Jenna Ortega was not opposed to the revival of her character from the original film because she had previously stated in an interview that she wanted Ellie to have a triumphant comeback.

'Joe asks if I ran away from all this,' the trailer says. However, one of you is observing me. One of you is concealed from view. Who are you then? ”

One season features a wall covered in newspaper clippings. His offenses were listed in chronological order in the headlines, starting at the very beginning. In reality, if one looks closely enough, there is a news report on Henderson as well as a front page devoted to Ellie and her sister Delilah.

Ellie, an aspiring filmmaker who is 15 (or, more accurately, 16), lives with her older sister because their parents died when they were very young. She befriends Joe, who is posing as Will as he abandons his former identity as a result of his proclivity for murdering his romantic loves.

Joe develops a sweet spot for Ellie right away, and a sibling dynamic ensues. Many followers started to consider the deadly stalker as more than just that thanks to their protective relationship. especially when he protects Ellie from a predatory director named Henderson who had previously abused Delilah. In an effort to take advantage of Ellie, Henderson drugged her while in a position of authority.

But Joe intervenes just in time, thwarting his scheme, and ends up killing him. Ellie might prove to be Joe's downfall because she may have been gathering evidence and keeping an eye on him over time.

In a recent interview for Vulture in 2022, Jenna stated that she was still a fan of the program. She added that she would 'love' to reprise her role as Ellie and noted that, due to schedule conflicts, she 'nearly did a bit more with the third season.'

You Season 1 Recap

Let's go back to the start. Joe Goldberg: He was raised by a violent, abusive father who burned cigarettes on him and by a serial adulterous mother who frequently left him behind to meet her boyfriends in the hope that they would protect her from her violent husband. Joe killed his father when he was nine years old in order to protect his mother, who assured him that the killing wasn't his fault because, at his core, he was a decent boy. It's unclear what happened next, but it appears that Joe's mother abandoned him and left him to grow up in a group home where he frequently got into mischief.

Here is a list of everyone who perished in You Season 1, and unlike Season 2, Joe was responsible for all of these tragic individuals' deaths.

'Benji' Benjamin J. Ah, Benji, says Ashby III (Lou Taylor Pucci). He possessed all the prerequisites for the affluent white male starter pack: a dad-funded artisanal soda company, a presence on #woke social media, and the inability to win over women. Having said that, nobody deserves to pass away after ingesting a maple latte made with almond milk, two teaspoons of stevia, and two tablespoons of the fatal allergy, peanut oil. Under the guise of being interested in his craft soda company, Joe tricks Benji into going to the basement of his bookstore. The first of Joe's victims that we actually get to see is when he finally gets him where he wants him, he knocks him unconscious and locks him in his cage. The evidence of Benji's most damning secret is ultimately presented to Joe after he first tries to offer Joe money, after which he offers to assist him win over Beck. Still, Beck's fate is sealed by Benji's hold over him. Joe adds peanut oil to his drink after Benji earlier in the show informs him that he has a peanut allergy. Benji begins to writhe on the ground in a matter of seconds before passing away from anaphylactic shock.

Shay Mitchell plays Peach Salinger, a gorgeous and affluent descendant of J.D. Peach Salinger didn't share many traits with Joe outside a passing fixation with Guinevere Beck. A woman trying to exert control over a buddy she is secretly passionate with, Peach's 'mothering' of Beck gradually emerges as more than just a woman looking out for her friend. Joe, ironically believing Peach is 'a rich, unstable stalker,' first plots to assassinate Peach while she is out on her daily run in Central Park. Joe sees getting rid of Beck's toxic acquaintances as a need designed to keep her 'safe.' She is knocked out and left lying in a pool of her own blood after being struck over the head with a rock by the attacker. To his horror, Peach makes it through the assault but isn't yet aware that Joe is the attacker. Joe doesn't finally make a last-ditch effort to permanently get rid of Peach until she forces Beck to stay with her at her family's holiday home in Greenwich. He stays with them in Greenwich and hides till Peach finds him there. Peach is able to shoot Joe in the leg as he tries to flee. Before tripping her and shooting her with her own revolver, he pretends to be unconscious. He goes on to portray it as a suicide.

Elijah Thornton (Esteban Benito) – In a climactic scene, it is revealed that Joe's ex-girlfriend Candace had been having an affair with Elijah, a music producer. Elijah claims to not have known that Candace and Joe were dating when Joe confronts him on the rooftop of a party, but after making some derogatory comments about Candace, Joe pushes Elijah off the edge.

Ron (Daniel Cosgrove) — Ron is unquestionably one of the most depraved characters in You. Ron, the violent boyfriend of Joe's neighbor Claudia, supports Claudia's drug use and gives her son Paco a miserable upbringing. In the season finale, Paco smashes Ron in the head with a baseball bat out of concern for his mother's safety. Unfortunately, Joe appears and stabs Ron in the throat as Ron stands up and frantically chases Paco outside.

Guinevere Beck: Tragically, we all anticipated this one. When Beck finds Joe's hidden box in his bathroom ceiling tile, he knocks her out, and when she awakes in Joe's enclosure, she experiences a real nightmare. After deceiving Joe into letting her go by saying she loves him and realizes he was only trying to keep her safe, she succeeds in trapping him in his own cage. Unfortunately, Joe has a backup key in case he accidentally locks himself in the cage. Beck grabs his key to the gate that is blocking the door, so he escapes and pursues her up the stairs. Joe snatches her from behind and pulls her out of the door before she can unlock it. The posthumous novel of Beck is on display in Joe's bookstore in the following scene.

Joe's Dad (Flashback)

In Season 2, we delve more deeply into Joe's past, focusing on his father's and mother's abusive marriage (Magda Apanowicz). Joe's mother and father both suffered from physical and emotional abuse, and Joe's mother frequently neglected him and left him alone as she sought out the companionship of other men. Joe committed his first murder in Season 2, killing his father to defend his mother.

The Au-Pair of Love and Forty (Flashback)

The 'perfectly imperfect girl' who provided that shocking story twist was Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti). With her twin brother Forty (James Scully), Joe's co-dependent connection has no boundaries, as evidenced by her latest love interest. She confesses that when she and Forty were younger, they had a sexual connection with Forty while he was an au-pair from Spain named Sofia (Brooke Johnson). Forty had a crush on Sofia, but Love could see what Forty could not: that Forty was a child being sexually molested. We discover that Love, in a severe, violent act of defense, slits the throat of the au-pair. She fabricated the event to make it appear as though Forty killed Sofia in a fit of rage because she reasoned that her parents would be more satisfied if they believed Forty killed the au-pair. Next, the wealthy Quinn family pretended it was a suicide.

Jasper

Joe suddenly finds himself in a precarious situation after assuming the identity of the genuine Will Bettelheim (Robin Lord Taylor) and imprisoning him. It turns out that Will owes his customer Jasper a huge amount of money (Steven W. Bailey). Joe meets with Jasper in the hopes of paying him back, but sadly for Joe, Will still owes Jasper a staggering $50,000. Joe's finger is severed by Jasper, who also issues a death threat if the money isn't given to him. Once Jasper is in the cage, Joe informs him that he isn't the genuine Will Bettelheim.

Jasper pulls out his pocket knife to kill Joe, but Joe stabs and kills him with a knife from his workbench since he doesn't care if he won't get his $50,000. Jasper's body is later chopped into pieces, put through a meat grinder, and thrown away in a dumpster. I believe Joe is a classic.

Henderson (nicknamed "Hendy")

Joe's second victim in Season 2 is Henderson (Chris D'Elia), a well-known 'man of the people' comic with a covert history of child abuse. Joe believes it is his responsibility to look out for Ellie (Jenna Marie Ortega), the 15-year-old sister of Delilah (Carmela Zumbado), who works as Hendy's intern. Henderson is drugged, restrained, and forced to confess to his misdeeds by Joe in his basement. In an effort to stop Henderson from leaving after he escapes from his restraints and tries to flee, Joe chases him and tosses him against a wall, which ultimately results in Henderson's death. Joe sets it up to appear like a suicide, but before long, a murder investigation is underway.

Delilah

Joe discovers Delilah dead in his cage in a pool of her own blood after locking her in once she learns of his secret existence as a cold-blooded murderer. This is one of the most heartbreaking deaths in both Seasons 1 and 2 of You. Forty sneaks LSD into Joe's drink, and Joe assumes that he is the one who killed Delilah on that drug-fueled night. In an unexpected turn, he learns that Love was the one who actually killed Delilah. Love discovered the cage's keys and, upon discovering Delilah imprisoned, slit her throat in order to defend Joe.

Candace

In a surprising change of events, Love slices Candace's throat, murdering her, in what appears to be a hallmark move, one that Love explains as doing whatever it takes to defend people she loves after Candace (Ambyr Childers) calls to see what (she suspects) Joe has done to Delilah. It is a horrible conclusion for Candace, who was buried alive by Joe, as we discovered in Season 2. In the end, it turns out that after locking Joe in the cage, Candace should have phoned the police rather than Love.

Forty

Forty starts to piece together the truth about Joe in the Season 2 finale. Forty rushes to alert Love after learning with certainty that Joe is a murderer even though he already knew and accepted that Joe used a phony name. Naturally, Forty is unaware that Love, who is working with Joe to come up with a plan to appease Forty and persuade him that his opinions of Joe are unfounded, already knows everything there is to know about Joe's terrible secrets. At Anavrin, Forty places a gun to Joe's head in the decisive confrontation. When Delilah's longtime boyfriend and LAPD officer David Fincher (Danny Vasquez) bursts in and shoots Forty, Joe closes his eyes and appears to accept his fate. Fincher starts investigating Forty for Henderson's murder when Forty passes away, a dreadful and false legacy the unstable Quinn brother will now leave behind.

You Season 3 Recap

To begin with, Love is essentially the ideal female counterpoint to Joe's hedonistic 'romantic' side. Joe, against all chances, met the only person on the globe who could see through his facade and accept the real him. There is a little chance that the program will ever pull the wool over the viewers' eyes by having another female love interest as psychotic as he was. Joe nevertheless killed her in the end.

From Ellie (Jenna Ortega), a bystander, to Candace (Ambyr Childers), his first love, Joe has consistently caused suffering, even for those he claims to love. As sad as it is to see Predetti go, it seems crucial to prove, once and for all, that even when Joe Goldberg appears to have everything he's ever desired—a wife who knows his secret but still loves him for who he is, a suburban life, a young child—he still won't be able to stop himself from ruining it.

Marienne's ability to take care of herself is successfully established by Season 3; as a result, it is doubtful that she will fall for his falsehoods the way Beck did. All of this is to suggest that having Joe kill his one true Love is fitting for a show that wears its camp proudly, notwithstanding Victoria Pedretti's show-stopping, Emmy-worthy performance in Season 3. But with so many unresolved issues, it's likely that Joe's history will ultimately come up with him in Season 4 of the Netflix stalker series, and we can blame Love for that.

You Season 4 Teaser

Season 3 of You ended on a suspense that suggested that season 4 will take place in Paris. But on April 1, the official You Instagram account published a BTS photo that seemed to indicate Joe (Penn Badgley) would be relocating to London for the upcoming season. That is now confirmed by the recently released teaser trailer, which features Joe as Professor Jonathan Moore.

More than a few new characters and some returning ones, like Marienne, are introduced in the teaser. Additionally, Netflix stated that we wouldn't have to wait long to learn more about the next series because You season 4 part 1 would be released in February. Thrilling!

We'll have to wait a few weeks to find out if Jenna Ortega was really cast in season 4, but it would be amazing if she was. The second portion of the fourth season of You will premiere on Netflix one month after the fourth season on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
