In a statement made by Squanch Games, it was announced that Justin Roiland resigned on January 16, 2023. The statements in the statement were as follows; 

'Squanch Games received the resignation of Justin Roiland on January 16, 2023. The passionate team at Squanch will continue to develop games that our fans will love and continue to support and improve High On Life.

Why did Justin Roiland leave Adult Swim and Squanch Games? What were the charges against Justin Roiland?

Justin Roiland was accused of taking physical advantage of his partner in 2020 through violence, threats, fraud and deception. The charges included deprivation of liberty. 

Justin Roiland was arrested in August 2020 and released on $50,000 bail. A restraining order was also issued for Justin Roiland from his ex-partner. 

On January 12, the preliminary hearing was held and the case is still ongoing. The only thing known about the case and its fate is that the next hearing will be held on April 27.

Justin Roiland was born on February 21, 1980 in Stockton, California. Roiland was born with dyslexia. 

Justin Roiland is a voice actor, animator, writer, producer, director and game developer, best known for the hit TV series Rick and Morty. Roiland also voiced the lead character of Rick and Morty. American voice actor Justin Roiland is also the founder of the video game studio 'Squanch Games'.
