K-Drama Series ‘Our Blues’ With Its Netflix Debut: Here’s What To Know About

For numerous reasons, the next K-drama 'Our Blues' has been greatly anticipated since it began production. It not only features a star-studded ensemble from films such as ‘Squid Game,’ ‘Parasite,’ and ‘Heirs,’ but it also takes place on Korea's Jeju Island and chronicles the interwoven stories of the actors' characters. Furthermore, Jimin of BTS will reportedly record his debut OST for the project, making him the final member in the vocal line to sing an original soundtrack for a drama.

‘Our Blues’ is scheduled to premiere on April 9, 2022, on tvN as well as on Netflix in selected regions with episodes running on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be a total of 20 episodes shown over the course of ten weeks, with two episodes published every Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, June 12th, 2022, the 20th and last episode will be released.

Following the announcement of the release date, teasers for the episodes began to appear. The hazy relationship between Lee Dong-seok and Min Seon-ah was previously revealed. In addition, the story of Jeong Eun-hee and Go Mi-friendship ran was disclosed. Lee Young-ok and Park Jeong-joon create an intriguing relationship in the latest teaser.

One of the delightful things to look forward to is seeing how their romance develops. Especially considering the teaser alluded to suppressed emotions and open confessions.

The series explores the sweet and bitter lives of people who are at the end, climax, or beginning of their lives in an omnibus format set against the backdrop of Jeju Island.

The main characters of an upcoming South Korean television series ‘Our Blues’ are as follows:

Lee Byung-hun as Lee Dong-seok, a truck maker who was born in Jeju.

Shin Min-a as Min Seon-ah, a woman with a story who came to Jeju, and works with Lee Dong-seok.

Cha Seung-won as Choi Han-soo, who returns to his hometown of Jeju as a perfect urban man and Jeong Eun-hee's first love.

Lee Jung-eun as Jeong Eun-hee, the owner of a fish store who has a bubbly charm.

Uhm Jung-hwa as Go Mi-ran

Han Ji-min as Lee Young-ok, a first-year haenyeo.

Kim Woo-bin as Park Jeong-joon, a captain with a clear and warm nature.

The series written by Noh Hee-kyung is her comeback after the 2018 drama Live. ‘Our Blues’ is a 20-episode drama written by Noh Hee-kyung, directed by Kim Gyu-tae and co-produced by Studio Dragon.
