Dikeç managed to attract everyone's attention when he competed with ordinary glasses and one hand in his pocket alongside South Korean athletes. He had neither focus-enhancing glasses nor noise-cancelling headphones.
Yusuf Dikeç was born on January 1, 1973, in the Göksun district of Kahramanmaraş, and received his undergraduate education at Gazi University School of Physical Education and Sports.
Dikeç, who completed his master's degree in Coaching at Selçuk University, has represented Turkey in the Olympics to date.
Yusuf Dikeç, who began his journey at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and continued with 2012 London, 2016 Rio de Janeiro, and 2020 Tokyo, achieved his highest success in London in 2012.
Yusuf Dikeç won a bronze medal and a silver medal at the Mediterranean Games in 2013. In 2014, he achieved first place in the competition held in Grana.
Dikeç became a seven-time European Champion before the Olympics, including in the air pistol trio in Gyor.
In 2014, he became a double world champion in standard pistol and 25m center-fire pistol. In 2023, he won a silver medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team.
Dikeç gives the answer to this question in the Olympic badge. Yusuf Dikeç states, 'I started the sport of shooting after I began working as a non-commissioned officer at the General Command of Gendarmerie.'
