Life by You: New In-Game Footage Revealed for The Sims’ Biggest Competitor

Paradox Tectonic has just released new in-game footage of Life by You, the highly anticipated game seen as a strong contender to The Sims series. Despite the disappointment surrounding its cancellation, these latest visuals have fans saying, 'We would have played this!'

The life simulation game Life by You was first announced in May of last year.

Seen as a serious competitor to the long-dominant The Sims series, Life by You generated excitement with its unique features, such as using a real language instead of Simlish and the ability to take control of any character in the town at the click of a button.

However, the release of in-game footage from the now-canceled Life by You has disappointed players who were eagerly awaiting the game.

The footage, which looked quite promising and could have even raised expectations had the game not been canceled, was discovered by a user named SimMattically in the portfolios of artists Richard Khoo, Eric Maki, and Chris Lewis who worked on the game.

Everything, from the in-game environments to the overall town, looks truly ready to be played.

The reason for the game's cancellation was explained by Paradox's Acting CEO, Mattias Lilja.

The development had reached a point where there was no clear end in sight, and the resources required for the game to launch seemed boundless, which unfortunately led to the demise of Life by You.
