Drake made a surprise appearance at Lil Wayne’s Lil Weezyana Festival over the weekend.
The Toronto star made a guest appearance during the two hour set performed by main act and festival organiser, Lil Wayne.
Weezy introduced the rapper to the delight of fans in New Orleans.
“Ladies and gentlemen, can you please make some noise for this foreigner?,” Weezy asked the large crowd in attendance.
Let’s show him a good time in America,” Lil Wayne said, introducing Drake on to the stage in Champion Square.
Drizzy is reported to have performed for around 18 minutes on stage, performing a couple of hits that feature Weezy.
The pair kicked things off with their 2011 collaboration, “She Will,” before then continuing into his hit, “The Motto.”
The Canadian hip hop maestro then went on to perform some of his newer solo hits, including “God’s Plan,” “In My Feelings,” “Nonstop,” and “Jimmy Crooks.”
Drake is reported to have complimented Lil Wayne as the “GOAT,” as well as the city of New Orleans.
“It’s an honour to be back in one of the few cities that really shaped my career as an artist,” Drake apparently told the attendees.
“I don’t think I would ever be where I was without New Orleans and I definitely know I would not be anywhere in this fu**ing life without the greatest rapper of all time that’s standing right there on stage behind me,” the Canadian continued.
