Lisa Kudrow Reveals Why She Was Fired from a Beloved TV Show

In a candid interview, Friends star Lisa Kudrow opened up about her experience with a popular TV show she was cast in but later fired from. Kudrow shared the behind-the-scenes story and the reasons that led to her unexpected departure.

You all know Lisa Kudrow, who played the role of Phoebe Buffay in the show Friends.

With her fun and quirky personality in the series, she became one of the most beloved sitcom characters of all time.

Now 61 years old, the famous actress has appeared in many productions throughout her career, but none brought her as much fame as Friends.

However, a story of her being fired could have changed this situation, and we might never have known her as Phoebe from Friends.

According to Deadline, just before Lisa Kudrow joined the cast of Friends, she was cast as a main character in the show Frasier but was later fired.

Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, the famous actress explained,

'I was fired from Frasier, and it was very devastating. The director said during the pilot episode, 'This isn't working, she can't play strong,' and I thought, 'What can I do?' but it didn't help much. Because Peri Gilpin was also there that day. I think they were just correcting a mistake because Peri was more suitable to be Roz.'
