Marvel Celebrates Stan Lee’s Legend with Disney+ Documentary: Check Out the Teaser Trailer

Marvel Entertainment just dropped an announcement video on a kick-ass upcoming documentary to honor the life and works of the late comic book writer, editor and publisher Stan Lee.

The documentary's teaser video premiered on Thursday, December 29, on YouTube alongside the icon's official Instagram account @therealstanlee, with the caption, “100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee.”

In a nutshell, the documentary celebrates the legacy of Stan Lee, who helped to craft and propel Marvel Comics and narratives since 1939.

Stan Lee, born December 28, 1922, and died November 12, 2018, was a creative pioneer of his family company Marvel Comics, formerly known as Timely Publications. He, along with other collaborators co-created Marvel's iconic characters, including the X-Men, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk, Ant-Man, Fantastic Four, Thor, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Daredevil, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch.

After he retired from the comic world in the 1990s, Lee remained a prominent figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, serving as an executive producer of the live adaptation films until he died in 2018.

A diehard Marvel fan can attest eagerly awaiting to see Stan Lee's cameo appearance in every MCU and non-MCU installment. The last cameo he filmed for the MCU was in Avengers: Endgame, which premiered in 2019.

Though Lee died four years ago, his legacy lives on and will for decades. Since his birthday was December 28, Marvel Studios honors his 100th birthday by releasing the heartfelt documentary.

Since the trailer’s debut, several fans, colleagues and friends of the late have been sharing sweet messages on Twitter, paying tribute to the shining star.

Back to the Future veteran Christopher Lloyd wrote, “Celebrating 100 years of the great @TheRealStanLee- we miss you, friend! A true visionary beyond relief.'
