Melissa Vargas, originally from Cuba, is a 23-year-old national volleyball player who currently plays for the Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball Team. She made her way into the Turkish national team after acquiring Turkish citizenship. Born on October 16, 1999, Melissa Vargas stands tall at 1.94 meters and weighs 76 kilograms. Known for her exceptional spiking ability, she can reach a height of 3.26 meters.
Melissa Vargas began her volleyball career at the age of 12, representing various Cuban youth national teams. In the 2016-17 season, she joined the Agel Prostejov team and later moved to Fenerbahçe in the 2018-19 season, where she continues to display her exceptional talent.
Melissa Vargas obtained Turkish citizenship in 2021, and her name was changed to Melissa as per the decision of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. With her incredible performance in the tournament, Melissa Vargas was rightfully awarded the MVP title.
