Michael Oher’s Bio-film ‘The Blind Side’ Arrives Netflix In April 2022

‘The Blind Side’ is a 2009 American biographical sports drama film based on the 2006 book ‘The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game’ by Michael Lewis. The film depicts the tale of Michael Oher, an American football offensive lineman who, with the support of his adoptive parents Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, overcame a poor background to play in the National Football League (NFL).

‘The Blind Side’ is scheduled to be released on April 1st on the popular streaming platform, Netflix.

Based on the true story of Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy who take in a homeless teenage African-American, Michael Oher.

Michael's paternity is unknown, and his mother is a drug addict. Michael has a limited formal education and little learning skills. However, as is her way, Leigh Anne quickly takes command and ensures that the young man has every chance to succeed.

When he exhibits an interest in football, Mom goes above and above to assist him, including offering the coach some suggestions for how to best utilize Michael's abilities. They not only give him a caring home, but they also hire a tutor to assist him improve his grades so that he may compete for an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship. The Baltimore Ravens selected Michael Oher in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

The film stars Sandra Bullock as Leigh Anne Tuohy, Michael's adoptive mother, Tim McGraw as Sean Tuohy, Michael's adoptive father,  and Quinton Aaron as Michael 'Big Mike' Oher.

Supporting roles are Brandon Rivers as Young Mike, Kathy Bates as Miss Sue, Jae Head as Sean 'S.J.' Tuohy Jr., Michael's adoptive younger brother, Lily Collins as Collins Tuohy, Michael's adoptive younger sister, Ray McKinnon as Coach Cotton, Kim Dickens as Mrs. Boswell, Adriane Lenox as Denise Oher, Michael's biological mother.

John Lee Hancock wrote and directed 'The Blind Side,' which was produced by Alcon Entertainment and published by Warner Bros. The production budget for the picture was $29 million. Many of their students appear as extras in the school sequences, which were filmed at Atlanta International School and The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia.

The film had its world premiere on November 17 in New York City and New Orleans, then on November 20 throughout the remainder of the United States and Canada.
