Turkish citizens used to be able to travel to the Balkan country of Montenegro without a visa for up to 90 days. However, Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajic recently announced that they are preparing to suspend this visa-free privilege for Turkish citizens.
In recent days, following the stabbing of a Montenegrin citizen by two Turkish individuals, protests were organized and incidents broke out in neighborhoods heavily populated by Turkish residents. It has been reported that 45 Turkish citizens were taken into custody.
