MrBeast uploaded his first YouTube video in February 2012 when he was just 13 years old. At the time, he went by the name “MrBeast6000”. Most of his videos centered on gaming often featured Minecraft and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. He also had videos that estimated the wealth of other content creators and gave tips as to how one can boost their channel, even though MrBeast did not really have a lot of viewers back then.
Additionally, MrBeast also created videos which poked fun at other YouTubers’ video intros which made him gain popularity on the platform. This was around 2015 to 2016 and he decided to pursue a full-time YouTube career when he reached around 30,000 subscribers.
A surprisingly weird breakthrough happened in 2017 when MrBeast’s one video went viral. In one of his videos, he counted from 1 to 100,000 which took him about 40 hours. Some parts of the video were sped up so that it would fit YouTube’s 24-hour video limit. Since then, MrBeast continuously uploaded videos and gave away some of his earnings, making him one of the biggest YouTube Philanthropists.
As of today, MrBeast has 92 million subscribers on his main channel and has a combined total of 192 million subscribers across his 13 YouTube channels.
