Although his name has been associated with some scandals, nothing has been proven so far.

MrBeast announced yesterday that he got engaged.

During the holiday season, while spending time with his family, he proposed to 26-year-old Thea Booysen, whom he has been dating for a while. 'My family came from South Africa for Christmas, and we were celebrating at our home, so both families were here. We were opening gifts, and for the last one, she asked me to close my eyes because it was a surprise,' says Booysen.

MrBeast adds, "Before giving her the actual gift with the ring in it, I deliberately dropped a big box to make some noise. Then I knelt down and proposed."

After Booysen opened her eyes, she said 'Yes' and expressed her excitement. Booysen tells PEOPLE: 

'We’re thinking of doing it on an island where we’ll be almost completely away from everyone. We’re not going to try to have a big and flashy wedding.'
