Müzeyyen Senar began her musical education under the guidance of renowned musicians such as kemençe master Kemal Niyazi Seyhun Bey and udi Hayriye Hanım at the Anadolu Musiki Cemiyeti. As her fame spread, other prominent masters of her time, including hafız Sadettin Kaynak, Selahattin Pınar, Lemi Atlı, and Mustafa Nafiz Irmak, provided her with lessons and helped her perform not only popular songs of the era but also her own compositions.
Her journey into the spotlight started when she began singing on Istanbul Radio with Kemal Niyazi Bey. The program gained significant popularity, introducing Müzeyyen Senar to wider audiences. One of the listeners enchanted by her voice was İbrahim Dervişzâde, the owner of the renowned Belvü Gazinosu, who invited her to perform in the summer program of the gazino in 1933. This was just the beginning of her performances in various famous venues throughout Istanbul.
The unforgettable Müzeyyen Senar passed away peacefully on February 8, 2015, at the age of 96, due to pneumonia, at Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Her funeral was held on February 10, 2015, at Bebek Mosque, and she was laid to rest in the family cemetery at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
