The asteroid named 2024 YR4, discovered on December 27, 2023, is gaining attention among millions of other asteroids because it has a potential to collide with Earth. Initial estimates suggest that this asteroid has a diameter between 40 and 90 meters.
Located 43 million kilometers away from us, 2024 YR4 could collide with Earth in 2032.
The asteroid is ranked at level 3 on the Torino Impact Hazard Scale, which is used to assess asteroids with the potential to collide with Earth.
