Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video message, announced that the ceasefire draft he would present to the cabinet would depend on the developments on the ground.

Netanyahu stated that if Hezbollah violated the agreement, Israel would strike Lebanon. He emphasized that his decision for the ceasefire was based on three main reasons: "focusing on the Iranian threat, revitalizing Israeli forces, and isolating Hamas."

U.S. President Biden announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between the Lebanese and Israeli governments, and that the ceasefire would go into effect at 04:00 local time tomorrow.
