Wednesday’s second season renewal comes a month and some days after the show launched its first installment on Netflix. In its third week after premiering, Wednesday had already crossed one billion hours viewed, landing it in the second position on the Most Popular English TV Series on Netflix.

The show managed a whopping 8.2 out of 10 stars on IMDb and an 86% average audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (accompanied by a 72% average Tomatometer), incredible enough to get it renewed for the second season.
Netflix’s Wednesday is an adaptation of one of The Addams Family characters, Wednesday Addams, going about her years in high school.
The previous season saw the titular character engage herself in several missions, including solving mysteries that have disturbed her family for years.
Netflix shared a teaser via its main YouTube Channel alongside the second season announcement.
