Nurhan Damcıoğlu (1 May 1941 - 5 June 2023) was a luminary of Turkish culture, a multi-faceted artist who excelled in kanto, a genre of Turkish musical theater, as well as radio, cinema, and traditional theater. She was not only known for her talent and versatility, but also as a trailblazer who challenged conventions, breaking barriers as the first Muslim female kanto performer in Turkey.
