Original Cartoon Interactive Series ‘Cat Burglar (Season 1)’ Hits Netflix This February

Netflix's new animated series ‘Cat Burglar’ is completely interactive, joining the company's increasing roster of game-like initiatives. It is about a cat burgling a museum.

During the cartoon, viewers will be able to choose their answers to trivia questions, which will determine whether the character succeeds or dies a horrible death.

The developers of Black Mirror, who previously developed the interactive film Bandersnatch, definitely draw inspiration from iconic Tex Avery cartoons in Cat Burglar.

Rowdy, the title character's cat thief, and Peanut, the museum's 'guard dog' from which Rowdy is stealing paintings, are featured in the show. Trivia will appear at the end of the screen when Rowdy and Peanut interact, either by swinging in to stop Rowdy from stealing or by watching Rowdy try to escape past a laser-filled hallway.

Players will have to answer a series of questions, and if answered correctly, Rowdy will be able to continue, at least for a while. Viewers will need to select the correct answer multiple times in a row or Peanut will come along and punish Rowdy in a horrific, but hilariously over-the-top way.

There is footage of Rowdy informing spectators that there are only a few lives left, and the designers guarantee that each time players step in, the show will be different. To be honest, the real question with Cat Burglar revolves around just how many times the average viewer will make a mistake in order to see Rowdy murdered in new and creative ways.

The trailer for the new Netflix show introduces Rowdy, the titular cat burglar, and Peanut, the “security pup” at the museum Rowdy is nicking paintings from. You can find the official trailer of ‘Cat Burglar’ on YouTube.
